hydraulic radiator with air intake
I fitted the hydraulic radiator with it’s air intake to the car. He’s above the engine air intake at the very rear of the engine. The hydraulic system on a modern Formula 1 car operates the throttle, clutch, gearchange, differential and power steering (till last year also front-wing adjuster mechanism). It runs with a preassure of around 200bar (2900psi) and a temperature over 100°C.
fixing airbox and more electronic equipment
Today I’ve fixed the airbox.
The vanes in front of the sidepods are also finished and pre-assembled.
The right hand sidepod is now as well as the left one filled with its electonic components.
I also mounted the first parts of the rear suspension assembly. More precisely the torsion bar spring with its housing and the deflexion lever. But they are too small and too well packed between the underbody and the gearbox, that I couldn’t take a well focused photo.
Finally, here are two pictures of the complete car.
